How Can Digital Transformation and Sustainability Work Hand-in-Hand in Supply Chains?

Panel Discussion

Monday, April 27

05:45 pm - 06:30 pm

Live in Frankfurt

Less Details

As industries rapidly digitize their supply chains, the challenge lies in balancing technological advancement with sustainability. This panel discussion will explore how digital transformation—enabled by AI, Machine Learning, Blockchain, and other emerging technologies—can support sustainable practices in supply chains. Panelists will discuss how to leverage these technologies to optimize operations, reduce carbon footprints, and promote ethical standards. The discussion will also highlight the integration of sustainability and decarbonization efforts into digital transformation strategies, and emphasize the importance of diverse leadership perspectives—particularly the role of women in chemical industry logistics and supply chain leadership.

  • net.Zero & Decarbonization: How do you prepare your supply chain for decarbonization strategies and roadmaps to net.Zero?
  • Digital Transformation: What are practical steps to progress with digital transformation, accelerate initiatives and create value over the whole supply chain?
  • SCM resilience: How do we reduce supply chain vulnerabilities due to global disruptions short- and long-term? Are exogenous shocks the new normal?
  • SCM 4.0: Next big innovation – can sustainability only be achieved by digitalization and those this lead to a supply chain 4.0?
  • Globalization vs. Nearshoring: What are pros and cons of producing globally vs. nearshoring? How can the optimal balance be found to achieve maximum agility?
  • Industrial IoT: On which Industry 4.0 technologies do you rely for increased visibility and E2E integration?
