Around 50% of energy used in the chemicals industry is used in steam systems. With increased costs, increased competitive pressure from abroad, and stricter decarbonization goals, steam system optimisation is taking on a more critical role at chemical sites across Europe. This increased focus on steam poses a number of unique challenges for operators who want to take control of their system. Navigating these challenges and the complexity of steam systems requires a digital systems approach.
