Stephan Trautschold is Global Vice President Operations for Care Chemicals at Clariant. He leads a global operations network of more than 20 sites with more than 2,000 employees, overseeing manufacturing, technology, digitalization, and sustainability initiatives. Over his career, he has consistently delivered significant value through operational excellence, CAPEX strategy, technology development, and site network optimization. With more than 25 years of international leadership experience across Europe and Asia, Stephan Trautschold has held senior roles including Global Head of Operations for Industrial & Consumer Specialties, Head of Operations EMEA, Head of Operations Asia, and General Manager of a pigment joint venture in China. He has successfully managed large-scale transformations, M&A projects, site relocations, and organizational turnarounds, always with a strong focus on safe, compliant, and efficient operations. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Munich and an Executive MBA from the University of Augsburg and the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh.
