A company with diversified business units and models must structure and develope individual units in line with their specific requirements. A business area in the highly regulated environment has different needs than other manufacturing units – and thus, cannot be run the same way. What does it need in particular to break down unprofitable structures, rennovate the unit and bring it back into the profits regions before selling it off? It needs a decrease in strucutre, in processes and in resources, reflecting on the market dynamics in its particular field. As a team effort on leadership level, such a transformation is possible and can be managed in a timely manner.
